Daniel Gore Teen Killer Charged In Milana Li Murder

A few months back, around May last year a 16-year-old boy was charged with killing a 13-year-old girl who was later missing. He was charged with a rape case additionally. He raped the girl before killing her and then moved her body from the crime spot. 

The culprit, Daniel Ryan Gore, was seen in a video conference in Washington County Circuit Court. The culprit pleaded not guilty to seven charges through his attorney. The charges were two counts of first-degree murder, first-and second-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, and second-degree abuse of a corpse. The multiple counts of the same charges come up with alternative theories regarding how the crimes occurred as said by the prosecutors. However, no details or question answers were offered in the court about how Li died.

Daniel Ryan Gore, the accused was convicted of sexually abusing and raping Milana Li and then killing and moving her body from where she died. 

Officers found Li’s body in a small stream by a trail on May 10th. That was two days after she went missing from her house in Southwest Beaverton where she lived with her family. The investigators did not reveal if Daniel Ryan Gore knew Li or how she died. 

We can see in the video that Daniel Ryan Gore did not speak during the hearing. Both the parent parties of the victim and the accused appeared separately via video conference. 

The state requested the Washington County Circuit Court Judge Erik Bucher to take time before making any decision regarding this murder and he decided to place his verdict after a hearing in April on whether to try Daniel Ryan Gore as an adult. He further mentioned that if found guilty he will remain in Juvenile Court and will not be released from Oregon Youth Authority custody no later than age 25. 

According to the law, a first-degree murder accusation in adult court carries a minimum 30-year sentence in prison whereas juveniles are waived to adult court and the accused can seek parole after 15 years. 

Deputy District Attorney Dustin Staten said at a May detention review that Daniel Ryan Gore had a criminal history stretching back to the fall of 2020. It was when he and another juvenile criminal tried to set a movie theater on fire. Other than that the co-defendant and Gore went to a movie theater to damage and steal from it. This statement was given by Staten in court.
