Many people in the psychiatry sector have come up with one definite notion which is “not all psychopaths are serial killers, but all serial killers are psychopaths.” We often make one common mistake thinking all serial killers are born with genius minds gifted with exceptional IQs. But that’s a complete misconception on our part. It is only true that serial killers are psychopaths with deadly intentions and to be more precise, psychopaths are not sociopaths. A sociopath can be anyone who shows anti-social behavior which is a result of environmental factors. But in the case of psychopaths, the condition is intrinsic and not acquired.

There’s no definite answer to the question of the serial killers are made or born that way. However, some experts suggest that most psychopathic killers have an ‘overwhelming desire’ to kill, and experiencing violence in childhood increases the scale greatly.

Ted Bundy is known to be America’s most evil serial killer. He sexually assaulted and murdered 28 women in Colorado, Washington, Florida, Utah, and Oregon between 1974 and 1978. According to other estimates, he killed hundreds of people and was finally executed in an electric chair in Florida in the year 1989.

Charles Mansion was in prison for auto theft, burglary, and larceny. He was released in 1967. Jeffrey Dahmer died in prison in 1994. He was killed by a prison mate. He went to prison after being convicted of murdering 17 males between 1978 and 1991. He finally stopped his crimes after getting arrested on 22 July 1991, the same day the police saw a man in handcuffs walking down the street. 

7. Albert Fish ‘The Boogey Man’ Serial killer quotes;
